Dan Jobe fueded with Jeff Jobe, his brother, over the direction of Jobe Watersports as Dan Jobe did not want to include wakeboarding and other watersports in his company's repetoir. Dan Jobe died after being attacked by pirates while waterskiing on lake Ontario, in Canada. Although never confirmed, it was speculated that one of the pirates was his youngest brother, Todd.
