  • Aggression is a measurement that determines the outcome of a GvG match if it lasts the full duration of 28 minutes. The team with the highest amount of aggression then wins. Aggressiveness is currently tabulated by the following rules: * 1 point of damage to Guild Lord = 1 point of aggression * Every enchantment or weapon spell cast on Guild Lord = -50 points of aggression. Note: Life stealing and degeneration do not count for aggressiveness.

  • Aggressiveness refers to the behaviours of various creatures in Earth Eternal when in close promixity to players. There are three different levels of hostility, or agression. Aggressive or Hostile, Passive or Neutral, and Friendly. Aggressive or hostile creatures will attack players when they are within a certain range. These aggressive creatures can be particularly dangerous in a multi-combat area with multiple creatures. All agressive creatures will have their names in red. The higher the level difference the greater or smaller the agression range is.
  • In psychology, as well as other social and behavioral sciences, aggression refers to behavior between members of the same species that is intended to cause pain or harm. Predatory or defensive behavior between members of different species is not normally considered "aggression." Aggression takes a variety of forms among humans and can be physical, mental, or verbal. Aggression should not be confused with assertiveness, although the terms are often used interchangeably among laypeople, e.g. an aggressive salesperson.
  • In the world of kung fu, every class comes with a universal skill called Killing Mantra. This skill slowly builds your Aggression level up. The range of aggression you can have at any given time varies from 0 to 100. Each class has its own class specific skill that requires a certain amount of aggression pool to make the skill work. Aggression costs of skills will vary depending upon the class / skill from as low as 10 to as much as a full 100. --Mikuri 19:18, 26 February 2008 (UTC) ||
  • Aggression is much more straightforward than Confidence. Simply put, if a character's disposition toward another character (including the player), drops by more than five below their aggression rating, they will attack that character on sight. An aggression score of 0 therefore means the character will never attack anyone for any reason, even if their disposition toward a character drops into the negatives (which is possible, but not visible in the persuasion minigame). Conversely, a character with a score of 100 or higher will attack anyone they see, regardless of provocation, unless their disposition toward that character is 100. Those with aggression level 5 (the most common) or less will not attack unless provoked.

If a character's disposition towards an attacker is high enough to not fight back, but they don't flee (determined by a complex equation that encompasses that character's confidence), they will just stand there and take the beating. However, if that character's responsibility is high enough, they will report the assault.

Non-aggressive, or passive, creatures will not attack players unless they are attacked first. The names of passive creatures will be displayed in yellow. In order for this type of creature to attack you, you must first make an attempt to attack it. If you were to miss or if your spell fails, it will still come after you. Friendly creatures and NPCs cannot be attacked and will not attack the player. These creatures have their name in green. These NPCs are your guards, quest givers, and merchants.

Aggression should not be confused with assertiveness, although the terms are often used interchangeably among laypeople, e.g. an aggressive salesperson. There are two broad categories of aggression. These include hostile, affective, or retaliatory aggression and instrumental, predatory, or goal-oriented aggression.[1][2][3][4] Empirical research indicates that there is a critical difference between the two, both psychologically and physiologically. Some research indicates that people with tendencies toward affective aggression have lower IQs than those with tendencies toward predatory aggression.[1] Across many different human cultures, men are more likely than women to express aggression by means of direct physical violence. Women are more likely to instead express aggression through a variety of indirect or nonphysical means. One explanation for this difference is that on average, women tend to be physically weaker than men, and so need to resort to other means.[5]
