Tare served with Major Perigord Habile Sinistra, and was never seen without his "terrible" twin brother, Turry, from whom (according to Perigord) he is indistinguishable. Tare and Turry were occasionally noted to tease Tammo, for various reasons. Both brothers fought valiantly in the Battle of the Ridge of a Thousand, and lived to see the end of it.
