| Synopsis
| - Witnessing a hate speech being made by a cowled being known as the Hate Monger, the FF try to intervene however they are blasted by his hate-ray and turn against each other causing the group to split up. Later, Reed Richards meets up with his old war buddy Nick Fury who asks him to help out stop a war against pro-democracy forces in the country of San Gusto. Reed travels there alone, however Fury convinces the rest of the FF to go there as well.
Learning that the San Gusto coupe is the work of the Hate Monger, Nick Fury and Reed Richards manage to obtain a cure for his hate-ray and use it to cure the FF members so that they can work as a team again. Disabling the Hate Monger's hate ray, his followers back under their own control gun him down. Unmasking him the Fantastic Four and Fury are shocked to find that the Hate Monger was really Adolf Hitler.

| - * Nick Fury appears next in Strange Tales #135.
* In Sgt. Fury #27 it is written that although Fury sustained his eye injury while fighting in World War II he did not lose eyesight in that eye until twenty years later, which explains why he is not wearing his iconic eyepatch in this issue.
* The Human Torch is shown throwing fire darts at a picture of Spider-Man. This is most likely a reference to their confrontation from Strange Tales Annual #2. The Human Torch will next battle Spider-Man in Amazing Spider-Man #8.
* After pulling off the Hate Monger's mask, Reed Richards states that there is no way to know for sure if this is the real Adolf Hitler or one of the many copies Hitler had made of himself.
