  • Mascots are costumed NPCs who appear in The Sims: Vacation, The Sims 2: University and The Sims 3: University Life.
  • The mascot's name is unknown, although some fans like to call him "Bully the Bull." The costume is a dark red fursuit with a large headpiece in the rough shape of a bull with a snarling, sharp-toothed face. The Mascot cannot be seen on free roam, unless the player enables him by using mods.
  • From [[w:|]][[Category: derivations|Mascot]] mascotte.
  • Mascot is Pleinair's class in Disgaea DS. She has high Hit and Speed attributes, and is best suited to wielding Guns. Her high speed stat means hostile attacks from units around or under her level will generally miss most of the time, making her highly useful in battle. One should watch out for her low Defense stat, however.
  • As one of the few dresspheres in which each character has exclusive abilities, it is arguably the best regular dressphere, requiring near-perfect story completion and providing high stats and useful abilities. As the dressphere belongs to the Gullwings, it can be inferred that Yuna's moogle disguise during the opening mission in Luca was her version of the dressphere.
  • Mascot can be defined as a term for any person, animal, or object thought to bring luck – colloquially (informally) includes anything used to represent a group with a common public identity, such as a school, professional sports team, society, military unit, or brand name. Mascots are also used as fictional, representative spokespeople for consumer products, such as the rabbit used in advertising and marketing for the General Mills brand of breakfast cereal, Trix.
  • A character, animal or animate object (see Everything Talks) which theoretically represents all that is good and attractive about a product, and which may act as a spokesman for it. Sometimes it may be an anthropomorphized version of the product itself, or of some primary component in it. An exception would be Japan, where everything has a cute mascot nowadays. EVERYTHING. See Series Mascot for when a character serves as the mascot for a fictional universe rather than a commercial product. Examples of Mascot include:
  • A mascot was a person or object intended to represent or bring luck to a certain establishment. Quark considered Morn to be his bar's mascot, going as far as to replace him with a hologram at one point, because, according to Quark, "Everyone who comes in here expects to see him, and if they don't, it doesn't feel like home to them." After Morn faked his death in 2374, Odo remarked that without Morn as a mascot, business would suffer. (DS9: "Who Mourns for Morn?")
  • In the world of sports, mascots are also used for merchandising. Team mascots are often confused with team nicknames. While the two can be interchangeable, they are not always the same. For example, the athletic teams of the University of Alabama are nicknamed the Crimson Tide, while their mascot is an elephant named Big Al. Team mascots may take the form of a logo, person, live animal, inanimate object, or a costumed character, and often appear at team matches and other related events, sports mascots are often used as marketing tools for their teams to children. Since the mid-20th century, costumed characters have provided teams with an opportunity to choose a fantasy creature as their mascot, as is the case with the Philadelphia Phillies' mascot, the Phillie Phanatic.
