Parry, originally called Weapon Guard, is a reaction ability in Final Fantasy Tactics. The Knight class learns it for 200 JP. It is one of the only two reaction abilities not affected by Bravery. Parry grants the unit a chance equal to their equipped weapon's physical evade stat to completely evade a physical attack from the front or sides. (When Dual Wield is used, each weapon grants an independent chance to evade.) Usually this is a low amount, though certain weapons such as the Main Gauche, the Dancer's Clothes and the Defender have very high Evasion rates.
