For this reason, Jedi Padawan Ardré Kartik was sent undercover to serve as an attendant to her and persuade her to side with the Republic. She was convinced to ally with the Republic, and used her influence to override the voices claiming Holt should remain neutral. She remained in her position well into the days of the Empire.
