Drunk and dishevelled Scott returns home to Viv and Bob, who were expecting him to bring Jean back. In a fit of rage, he throws Jean’s birthday cake at the wall angrily insisting the party is over. Later a brooding Scott reflects on his situation, wondering whether Zoe will ever let him be a part of Jean’s life, or whether she was just using him after all. Louise and Ashley no longer see their relationship through rose tinted glasses. The initial novelty has evidently worn off as the couple struggle to find common ground. Diane is still visabily shaken over recent events, despite trying to put a brave face on things.
