| - it lies in the GN particles we dont know what GN particles are made of and there is probably special elements that make them fly (not to mention extra equipment like thrusters and such) this is know because the Gundams seem to perform better and fly faster when the GN particles are in high amounts Example: 00 raiser, Seravee Seperate Answer from SonicSP 21:20, June 17, 2010 (UTC): They are 2 methods that help the Gundams in Anno Domini series "fly". First is the special properties of GN Particles that allow the reduction of weight [reducing the effect of gravity on mass], by spreading the GN Particles around the Gundam [note that in small amounts very low concentrations they cannot be seen], it reduces the Gundams weight and allow the Gundam to float. More precisely they "float" rather than fly [paraphrase quote from the 300 Years Later sourcebook] because they're simply nullifying gravity's effect on their mass rather than exerting thrust force to counter gravity. Note that these apply to within the atmosphere as in space they would already be weightless due to lack of gravity. But this effect only allows them to float, like in space so to speak. In order to move around, the Gundams use regular good old thrusters. The only difference is that the thrusters use GN Particles as a propellant. This works the same way that normal thrusters do in which your using Newton's 3rd law in order to generate thrust. Depending on the design, the amount of thrusters and their location and number may very. The part that sprinkles GN Particles around are usually the main thrusters but their also thrusters that do not sprinkle particles out, examples include the one on 00's soles and on Dynames's lower rear end, these are usually the assisting thrusters. According to the MG Gundam Exia manual, the Gundams in AD also use AMBAC for mobility purpose, especially in space where their weight reduction ability of the GN Particles are useless because there's already no gravity. AMBAC is a system that appears in the Universal Century universe whereby you use the limbs of the mobile suit in order to re-orient the mobile suit. However this only allows the mobile suit to re-orient itself, it does not allow mobile suit to actually change its vector. However, AMBAC is used in conjunction with thrusters to affect the actual vector of the mobile suit in space since the thrusters do actually affect the vector positioning of the MS. MG Gundam Exia manual as well as one of the S1 sourcebooks confirms the usage of the AMBAC on the Anno Domini Gundams, and probably all other GN mobile suits as well. Seperate Answer from Kokou2 10:40, June 20, 2010 (UTC): The flywheel system is a system of funnels that spin throughout the GN Drive. They absorb the photons within the GN drive power plant by spinning the funnels inwards and spewing GN Particles through the vent of the Gn Drive outward. Thus giving us a high propulsion system. -Gundam 00: 300 Years Later sourcebook -Master Grade 1/100 GN-001 Gundam Exia instruction manual -Wikipedia: AMBAC article -SonicSP 21:20, June 17, 2010 (UTC)
