  • After its formation, the squad rides Aoi's clay birds into enemy territory. They eventually land in a dense forest where they decide to set up camp. Reitō issues orders to the division members: Saburou is to place traps around the perimeter; Aoi is to return to the air and be lookout; Hiroshi is to make trenches with his earth release techniques; Dendō is to construct a chakra transmission antenna; Sumairu are to survey the area with their respective sensory abilities; Moko is to assist Reitō with formulating a battle strategy. Soon after preparations are complete, Neo Akatsuki's Diversion Platoon makes there move and attacks. As the battle goes on Ryou joins them in this initial assault, although he is neutralized from above by Riku. When R recovers he begins sparring with Riku, all the while apologizing to Riku - his "brother" - for being forced to fight him. Meanwhile, Reitō and Yashiro begin to battle using there Kekkei Genkai. This goes on for a period of time until Reitō is able to trap Arata and Tamotsu they are eventually able to seal the two edo tenseis. Ryou and Yashiro escape to another battle field.
