Being their official shipwright, Yumeji is in charge of maintaining the Howling Wolf's condition, along with the other vehicles, instruments, or weapons that the Wolf Fang's may employ. He is also an accomplished surgeon as he was able to perform an operation on himself twice, despite the fact that he doesn't specialize in the field. He was able to do this even though he was close to death. In terms of raw physical power, Yumeji can easily be counted as one of the stronger members of the crew, even without the use of his cybernetic arm. His years of being a ship dismantler, as well as a bounty hunter prior to piracy seem to have contributed greatly to his formidable strength; even without using his cybernetic arm, he exhibits enough strength to overwhelm a charging, fully grown elephant, stopping it in its tracks before dragging it around by the trunk like it was a rag doll. Yumeji was even able to briefly fight on par against Nero during their initial confrontation, before their fight was interrupted. Due to an accident while working on a ship for the Marine, Yumeji lost his arm and got a Cybernetic replacement. Yumeji's arm is near-indestructable and highly adaptable. However there is a drawback. By modifying the Arm into a firearm, he is capable of unleashing explosive burst damage unto opponents, but risks damaging himself due to overheating. However, this can be exploited as the Yumeji can utilize the overheated Arm to momentarily strengthen himself. Thanks to the modifications done on the Arm, Yumeji is able to tolerate overheating much better, allowing him to execute even more explosive flame-based attacks. He now possesses abilities that leave flames on the ground, burning enemies who walk through the scorching ground.
