The Japsid Belt was a heavily concentrated belt of asteroids in the Cynon system. Its proximity to Lausis meant that the planet would endure daily bombardment from its members. Asteroids in the belt ranged from tens to ten-thousands of meters, with the largest eclipsing the largest of starships. The breakup of the larger asteroids produced many smaller asteroids and meteoroids that floated throughout the system. One asteroid in particular was found to contain deposits of quadrillium and was fought over by rival mining guilds in the area.
