- Drawbridge was brought onto the grid on October 02, 2004, as part of a batch of 41 new sims.
- In all versions except for Legends, in which the drawbridge is not available, the drawbridge/gatehouse can be manually opened to send a counter-attack. Otherwise, the drawbridge will remain opened, allowing peasants/troops to go to their destinations. In Stronghold 2, the drawbridge does not exist as a distinct building. Instead, it is a feature of the Large Gatehouse, which supports a big drawbridge, automatically operated with the gate when it opens/closes. Cost: 10 wood in Stronghold and Stronghold Crusader
- A drawbridge was a feature of a castle or fortress that allowed one to cross a moat or other impediment and enter the building. The Fortress of Doom was equipped with a drawbridge. (VOY: "Bride of Chaotica!")
- There are three drawbridges in NetHack - one in the Castle, and the other two on the Valkyrie quest. They are widely considered extremely dangerous, however this is something of a myth. Indeed, with a little caution the drawbridge can be a valuable tool. A closed drawbridge is represented by #, and an open one is represented by ..
- Drawbridges are used in a lot of . They allow quick access over gaps for the team who built them. They will not go down for the enemy. The only time an enemy can cross them is when a player from the team who built it is standing on the drawbridge, or if they are standing on the side the Drawbridge comes down from. Drawbridges require 3 lumber to be made.
- Drawbridge is a game created on the campus of Lock Haven University. In short, this game is about getting drunk as quick as possible. Great for pre-gaming or ending a night. A quick paced card game which can only be played with 2 people and a full deck of cards.
- The drawbridge is a simple Resistance contraption used in City 17 during the Uprising, allowing Rebels to move between buildings above ground level and also prevents Combine units from following them. It is first seen in the Half-Life 2 chapter Anticitizen One and is seen again in Episode One, during the chapter Urban Flight.
- Insert details here. (A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts)
- Zack Maio is the player's contact, and they're tasked with delivering a stolen Porsche 911 GT2 to the drawbridge.
- Medieval castles were usually defended by a ditch or moat, crossed by wooden bridge. In early castles the bridge might be designed to be destroyed or removed in the event of an attack, but drawbridges became very common. A typical arrangement would have the drawbridge immediately outside a gatehouse, consisting of a wooden deck with one edge hinged or pivoting at the gatehouse threshold, so that in the raised position the bridge would be flush against the gate, forming an additional barrier to entry. It would be backed by one or more portcullises and gates. Access to the bridge could be resisted with missiles from machicolations above or arrow slits in flanking towers.
- The Drawbridge, known as the Bridge in the Origins version and North Bridge in the NES version, is a one-time visit location and world map tile in the original Final Fantasy. The drawbridge starts the game broken. Cornelia and the Chaos Shrine are on their own island excluded from the rest of the locations on the World Map. Once the player party defeats Garland the bridge is rebuilt to enable the party to cross from Cornelia to the next continent so they can reach Pravoka. The Final Fantasy Theme is played during this scene in every version.
