| - Shivvering, you sneak back to the Throne hoping to find Phasmatis and get this over and done with. Out of ideas for now, you shout her name and see what happens. A face appears in the dark clouds above the Throne. 'Who are you, why in the name of all things dead and fun are you naked and what do you want?' Phasmatis snarls at you. Instead of answering her, you hold up the Sloof Gem enticingly. It may be a trick of the light but her eyes almost seem to gleam. 'If that is what I think it is, I want it. Give it to me. NOW. Toss it into the cloud and we'll negotiate a fair price for you, my bizzarely naked little friend.'
- The air tingles around the gleaming pile of riches the infamously equine thief had aquired for himself. The energy does not seem to be malevolent, but you're unsure on whether or not to take a risk on snatching the Sloof Gem from the top of the pile...
- A throne sits shrouded in dark clouds and rumbling thunder, but it is empty and does not look to have been occupied in centuries. Still despite this you feel an evil to the place that makes your skin crawl and you know Phasmatis can't be far away.
- You will need to kill the sorceress and claim the riches.
- Tucked between two rocks you see what appears to be a pile of bones and rags.
- As you walk amongst the Fallen and their resting places you feel rather than hear a whisper in the wind. 'Stronger,' the ethereal voice rasps. 'claiming the Scalp will grant you a possession of unholy powers...draping yourself in it can make you stronger...'
- Jathlak sits in a rickety boat with his apprentice, talking to the souls of the Kraken's victims while his young apprentice struggles to bail out the water. Seeing you approach, he winks at you. 'They told me you would come...' he shouts between the boats. 'Told me to give you instructions. Time is money, so gimme some... I don't work free, even for them.'

| - Further inspection turns up nothing of the evil sorceress, giving you time to look back through the book Jathlak left you to find advice on how to approach her. There is a curious reference to a bizzare token of folklore known only as the Sloof Gem that Phasmatis has become obsessed with adding to her collection of riches. If the book is to be believed, a thief that would take the shirt from your back unless you made him laugh had the only one in existence amongst his stash on the Rock.
- Tossing the Scalp onto the now silent Throne, you pull the mysteriously powerful robes off the corpse of the once tyrannical sorceress and stuff them into your kit for your payment. The ethereal voices that have been with you from the beginning whisper their thanks and fall silent, satisfied with your efforts.
You gain 1 x Robes of Phasmatis and 1,500,000 xp.
- Upon closer inspection you find the rags cover up a leather bound book carefully hidden inside the rib cage of the skeleton. Taking it out and reading through it you begin to understand more about Phasmatis and the campaigns she has lead in the realms, making you feel more confident in how to defeat her. Someone has taken the time to underline all references to a place where 'lightning strikes the entry'.
- The face in the clouds laughs hysterically. 'You're a special little one aren't cha? I can't believe you fell for that! You want anything in return for it, you're gonna have to come and pry it from my cold dead hands.'
- The ethereal voice grows louder in your ear as you open yourself to listen to what it has to tell you. 'These graves around you are all here because of one malevolent spirit - all victims of the vicious undead sorceress Phasmatis...she has corrupted the realms long enough and must be stopped. The one who can stop her and claim her Scalp will be the one to take their pick of her riches.' Cackling, the voice continues. 'I knew the hint of riches would entice one like you, but greedy or not our souls demand retribution... We don't have a use for her spoils but rumour has it she wears a set of robes that contain significant powers. If you remove her we don't care if you keep them for yourself or not... Go find the necromancer Jathlak, he will be of more assistance. You may find him near a watery grave.'
- You successfully snatch the gem from the top of the pile as a ghostly laugh begins to roar. Looking down at yourself, you realise sadly that you're now another one of his victims - He's managed to steal the shift of your back.
You've gained 1 x Sloof Gem, You've lost 1 x Merd's Soul.
- Hefting the sack he grins a toothless grin at you, leaving you wondering if you've just been had. 'Alright, I don't have time for chit-chat. Got work to get done. Can see already that you're smart enough to have found me, but not smart enough to confront Phasmatis. Gonna need more smarts for sure. I've got a book stashed away in a hidey-hole near the Brimstone. Was saving it for a rainy day, but it'll do you more good than me.'
Suddenly, Jathlak and his apprentice disappear out of the boat into thin air...
