The Flame was a DHARMA Initiative communications station. Its name and symbol were first seen depicted on the blast door map. According to the DHARMA cabling map, the Flame was northeast of the Barracks, and about a day and a half north from the Survivors' camp. The station was completely destroyed by John Locke. The Flame consisted of a large building with a roof-mounted satellite dish. The interior was divided up into a living / kitchen area, a storage facility and a separate computer room. A hidden trapdoor provided access to a basement storage facility. ("Enter 77")

- The Flame is the female leader of the necromancers. She can be found in the Enclave after completing some of the quests taken in the Enclave. She will teleport in close to the two odd statues in front of a house that can't be entered (straight ahead from the enterance to the Enclave).
- The Flame is voiced by Luke Ruegger, one of the sons of creator Tom Ruegger.
- The Flame is the main antagonist of The Moth and the Flame.
- "The Flame" is the fourth single by Arcadia, released from the album So Red the Rose by Capitol-Parlophone in 1986. This was the group's third UK single.
- The Flame is a DHARMA Initiative station and is first seen from the Pearl when Sayid is able to establish a live video feed connection with another station. At first, all that is seen appears to be a computer mainframe. The camera slowly panned right, revealing a man wearing an eyepatch and a DHARMA suit staring directly into the camera. Soon after, the man shut down the camera on his end. While everyone is stunned by what has happened, Locke says that the man "will be expecting [them]". According to the black light map, somewhere on the island between The Swan and the Staff is "alleged location of #4 the Flame.".
