She was questioned by the Jedi themselves and told them that Senator Tanaka Taa had hired her to kill the Queen because she knew that she was an influential diplomat and once she signed the document, then everyone else would too. They had the bounty hunter and the senator in custody for 2 days until executing them. Afterwards, a huge funeral was held on Shili for the Queen. More than 70% of the population was their to mourn their beloved ruler. In Shili's Royal Palace, there isn't a single room or hallway without Ashara's picture in it.
