- Bloodrage is a warrior ability that generates Rage at the expense of health. It generates 20 rage instantly, and a further 10 Rage over 10 seconds (1 rage per second), at the expense of 16% of base health upon activation. It is one of the most basic rage generation abilities, and one of the few that can be used outside of combat. In Patch 4.0.1, Bloodrage has been removed, and replaced by rage generation from [Booming Voice] and [Glyph of Berserker Rage].
- The appropriately named Bloodrage belongs to the Barabel assassin known as Skarrek. It was initially given to him as a gift by Rashrak after Skarrek helped Barab I achieve independence. Although Skarrek knows how to pilot starships he never had a desire to actually own one, believing that traveling by charter or some other means gave him a greater advantage in staying out of notice. However, something about the heavily armed freighter appealed to him and Skarrek finally decided to end his old preference.

The Bloodrage was completely stock when Skarrek first received it, but that quickly changed once he received news about the Xen'Chi invasion. Contacting reliable mechanics on Nar Shaddaa, Skarrek had the Bloodrage modified in several ways. First and foremost, the hull was greatly reinforced to fix the YV-929’s notoriously weak integrity. The shields and engines were also given an upgrade to make the small freighter an even greater force to be reckoned with as well as to compensate for the added weight of the new hull. The weapons were largely left alone, however the triple blasters on either side of the ship were modified to give them the ability to rotate nearly 360 degrees. Two of the passenger rooms were changed into weapons lockers. Finally, since Skarrek tended to prefer traveling alone, the ship’s systems were heavily automated so that everything could be controlled from the cockpit if need be. Once everything was finished, Skarrek had a new paint job applied to the Bloodrage so that it resembled the bloody tip of a claw. The YV-929 has yet to dissapoint Skarrek, proving to be nearly as formidable as its owner; an apt reflection of the Barabel's own brutal nature.
