Julius Darmaatmadja (born December 20, 1934 in Jagang, Muntilan) in Central Java is the Roman Catholic Cardinal Archbishop of Jakarta and Primate of Indonesia. He was ordained as a priest on December 18, 1969 by Justinus Darmojuwono and was placed in Yogyakarta for work. He was made archbishop of Semarang again by Justinus Darmojuwono on June 29, 1983. On April 28, 1984 He was also made bishop of the Indonesian Armed Forces (ABRI). As a Cardinal, he participated in the Papal Conclave on 2005, which elected Pope Benedict XVI.
