  • S.H. MonsterArts is a new series of Kaiju figures developed by Tamashii Nations. The product line is distributed by Bluefin Distribution, and manufactured by Bandai Japan. This offshoot of the S.H. Figuarts line was introduced in early 2011, and the first figure was released in November of that year. Bluefin Distribution has slated each wave for simultaneous releases world-wide. This product line focuses on the sculpt, articulation, detail and colorization of every figure. Master sculpts are rendered by sculpters such as Yuji Sakai and Shinichi Wakasa to achieve superior screen accuracy. The figures are incorporated with new "mobile technology" that provides more than 25 points of articulation without hindering the appearance of the sculpt. Production is loosely based on kaiju popularity, while initially trending on the Godzilla Heisei era (1984-1995). Effects parts are sometimes included with first-wave releases. Exclusive release status differs between US and Japan.
