| - Jason (Mike Vogel) und Lilly (Jessica Lucas) geben für Jasons Bruder Rob (Michael Stahl-David) eine Abschiedsparty in New York, da er bald nach Japan ziehen wird. Lilly bittet Jason die Kamera zubeaufsichtigen und von jedem Gast eine Abschiedsbotschaft an Rob zugeben. Er gibt die Kamera jedoch Hud (T. J. Miller) der ab da an sämtliche Aufnahme übernimmt. Rob und seine Freundin Beth (Odette Yustman) streitten sich und aufeinmal verlässt sie das Gebäude. Alles scheint normal, bis auf einmal eine laute expolosion, in der nähe zu hören ist. Aufeinmal ist überall das Militär und alle versuchen nun aus New York zu flüchten. Anscheinend zerstört ein außerirdisches Monster die Stadt. Rob bekommt jedoch bald einen Anruf von Beth, die in ihrem kaputten Haus eingesperrt ist und ihn um hilfe bittet.
