The 1998–99 Ottawa Senators cracked the 100 point barrier, as they finished with 103 points, and won the Northeast Division for the first time in club history. __TOC__ Senators head coach Jacques Martin won the Jack Adams Trophy for the first time in his career and in Senators history, while Alexei Yashin, who was named team captain prior to the season, was a finalist for the Hart Trophy after his 94 point season. His 94 points shattered the club record of 79, which Yashin set in the 1993–94 season.
