The 2007 Checker Auto Parts 500 was a Nextel Cup (now Sprint Cup) event held at Phoenix International Raceway on November 11, 2007. Jimmie Johnson raced to his fourth straight victory and his second straight championship, holding off Greg Biffle by .87 seconds. It was the first time that not only a driver had won four in a row, but also won at least ten races in a year since Jeff Gordon did both in 1998. Ironically, this victory came at Gordon's expense in the points, as Gordon's 10th place finish left him eighty-six points behind and for all intents and purposes out of the running. Stats
