  • This quest is started by talking to the King of Varrock. He will tell you that his father died a while ago when he came face-to-face with an Altar dragon. The king entitles you to lead the trek to the Grofix Range to find out why the dragon killed his father. After talking to the sailor in Rellekka (You do not need to become a Fremennik) and telling him the situation, he will offer to take you to the mountain range for free. After reaching the range, he will tell you that his parents passed on the story to him about the King's death on Mt. Orifundus. After successfully climbing three-quarters up the mountain, there will be a human's corpse lying there. Around the corpse is a book, the former king's diary. After reading the diary, a massive dragon will fly out of the sky, and the battle with the Zamorakian Altar dragon will begin. After the dragon's defeat, it will say that Zamorak had positioned it on the mountain to destroy the Rellekkans who climb it. It will say it mistook the king for a Rellekkan. Before it ascends into its afterlife, it gives you a reward.
