Now, however, it is the equivalent of a warzone, with Raiders assaulting the city center twice every week. The city has a elite military force, the Danbury Shock Troops, who are commanded by Colonel Israel Ives. He is a competant commander who is a skilled infantryman. It is also home to an airport full of pilots, and planes modified for a fight.

- A northeastern state that most people had forgotten existed until the recent political season, when it hosted a highly contested Democratic primary between incumbent Senator and George W. Bush-supporter Joe Lieberman and upstart businessman Ned Lamont. Lamont, starting way behind in the polls, surged in the final two months before the August primary, in part due to accepting his invitation to appear on The Colbert Report while Joe Lieberman refused his.

Southwestern Connecticut is part of the Tri-State Region or New York metropolitan area, which also includes northern New Jersey and southern New York. Beginning in 1614, the original European settlers were Dutch, but by 1636, Connecticut became a British colony. Connecticut was one of the Thirteen Colonies that revolted against British rule in the American Revolution. Residents of Connecticut are sometimes referred to as Nutmeggers or Yankees.
- Except for a few isolated areas in the north, Connecticut is well connected with major roads: I-95 is the main interstate, running from the heart of the Megaplex in New York to Rhode Island along the shore of the Long Island Sound. I-91 travels north from I-95 at New Haven, weaving its way along the Connecticut River to Vermont. However, in Connecticut, as with the other New England states, it's a shame to miss out on the few remaining tracts of quiet countryside scenery along the side roads, so it's worth getting off the interstates if you have the time. While the back roads can be poorly labeled, the distances involved are so small that you're not likely to run into major problems if you get lost.

- Connecticut is one of the United States of America. In a recent study conducted by CNN, it was found that there are only 1,000 conservatives there, and all in Greenwich, which does not explain why Joe Lieberman keeps getting elected there. - While no-one will mistake this northwestern Connecticut waterfall as something along the Zambezi, the series of cascades makes for an enjoyable day trip from just about anywhere in connecticut or, for that matter, New York City. Although Kent Falls is sometimes considered the highest fall in Connecticut, it is actually a series of waterfalls and cascades that drop 250 feet over a quarter mile. There are two major drops in this series a lower falls and an upper falls, with the lower falls (the three largest drops of that falls, at least) visible right at the entrance to the park.
