Adam was born on Epsilon Eridani II on Remembrance Day in the year 2597, only one month too early for ORION's PHALANX COMPANY targeted recruitment age. Adam Breton was to be recruited as an O3Delta Operator due to his mother being a part of the ORION II program, thus meaning that initial augmentations had been carried over to Adam. After the Battle of Ganghas Khan on Eridani II, Adam's mother assisted UNSC and CMA forces attempting to quell the rebel movement and riots in 2603 and later executed along with his sister and brother. Adam survived the battle by hiding under a pile of dead CMA personnel, and later found by Pvt. David Callighan, who would be his adopted father from then on.
