Igen was the fourth Weyr to be established. It is located in the southern part of the Central Plains of the Northern Continent. During the Second Interval, the Weyr was abandoned, and its remaining dragons merged with Telgar Weyr, after its last queen died. When the Plague and Threadfall injuries threatened to wipe out the other Weyrs in the Third Pass, it was used by the Weyrs, timing it, to bring their weyrlings to maturity, much as F'lar would attempt with the Southern Weyr in the Ninth Pass.
