Dennis Owchar (born March 28, 1953) is a retired professional ice hockey defenceman who played 288 games in the National Hockey League, scoring 30 goals and 85 assists. He played with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Colorado Rockies. In 1979, the Rockies traded Owchar to the Los Angeles Kings' organization where he played with the New Haven Nighthawks for two seasons before injuries forced an end to his career
