In his heyday he ran bolita and illegal gambling operations for the Tampa family under Santo Trafficante, Jr. Ciro is the son of late mob soldier Angelo Bedami, Sr., brother of missing mobster Joe Bedami, and uncle of reputed mob associates Joseph Charles Bedami and Angelo Bedami, Jr. He is also related by marriage to late mobster Salvatore "Silent Sam" Lorenzo. Bedami remained a prominent member of the Trafficante family throughout the years. He was believed to have retired from crime family activities in the 1980s and reportedly died of natural causes on September 20, 2009 in Tampa at the age of 84.
