The collective also contributes to a nearby school for teenage mothers, the Catherine Ferguson Academy, to Detroit organizations promoting agriculture, and to a variety of other causes and organizations It was awarded "Best Place to Hang out with Anarchists" by Detroit's Metro Times in 2002.
