Es wurde 1983 als Tequi-La-La wiedereröffnet und entwickelte sich schnell zum Anziehungspunkt für Hair-Metal-Bands und ihre Fans aus dem ganzen Land. Es geht das Gerücht um, der Song „Dangerous Bastards“ von Love Fist sei hier nach einer Band-Party auf Meskalin mit einigen transsexuellen Zwillingen entstanden.
