At first when meeting him on the fields, Joshua was of little help, only talking about his crops and how good the soil was. However, after talking with Thentis, the Avatar met the Resistance cell at midnight at the well, and after telling Joshua the password, he became more talkative. He spoke of how a Shadowlord can't be defeated in normal combat and the devastation their attacks can cause. He suggested to seek Sutek, who lived on the island of Spektran.
