The Adirondack Frostbite were a professional ice hockey team in the United Hockey League (UHL). They played their home games at the Glens Falls Civic Center in Glens Falls, New York. UHL action came to Glens Falls in 1999, when the American Hockey League's Adirondack Red Wings disbanded. In 2000 hockey returned to the area with the UHL Adirondack IceHawks. In 2004, ESPN SportsCenter anchor Steve Levy and NHL analyst Barry Melrose became the team's owners and the team changed its name to the Frostbite.
