  • Ervin completed his junior playing career in the United States with the University of Arkansas after transferring from Mississippi State University where he played from 2003–2005. Ervin then progressed to playing in the NBA Development League from 2008 with Sioux Falls Skyforce, before transferring to Tulsa 66ers from January 2009. Ervin was then drafted to Maine Red Claws as a 57th overall pick in the fourth round at the start of the 2009–10 season. Ervin continued to play in street leagues over summer including Nike Pro City, Dykman and West 4th Street. He also played in the Premier Basketball League (PBL) with Halifax Rainmen where he averaged 15.4 points, 6.5 assists and 6.5 rebounds per game, while also winning the MVP award for the PBL All-star game in 2010.
