The Wranglers have qualified for the Kelly Cup playoffs seven times in eight completed seasons and were the runner-up in the 2008 Kelly Cup finals, losing to the Cincinnati Cyclones in six games. Las Vegas made their first playoffs in their inaugural season of 2003–04. The Wranglers worst season was the 2004–05 season in which they finished in seventh place in the National Conference's West Division with a record of 31 wins, 33 losses and 8 losses in overtime or shootouts. The Wranglers won their first division title in 2006–07 when the won the National Conference's Pacific Division with a record of 46 wins, 12 losses and 14 losses in overtime or shootouts, a record that earned the Wranglers the Brabham Cup as the team in the ECHL with the best record during the season. The following year, the Wranglers won their second consecutive Pacific Division title with a record of 47 wins, 13 losses and 12 losses in overtime or shootouts and would win their first Bruce Taylor Trophy as the winner of the National Conference playoffs.
