  • Kurikara (倶利加羅 (クリカラ) Kurikara) is a Demon-slaying sword (降魔剣 Kōmaken) originally held by the Myōō Dharani sect. Kurikara was forged long ago to protect Kyoto from vengeful spirits who ran rampant. The founder of the sect, Fukaku, infused the Demon Karura inside the blade and with it, brought down the Impure King around 140 years ago. However, according to legends, Karura left the sword afterwards. Also referred to as the Kouma Sword.
  • The Kurikara Was once the sword of the ancient God, Fudō-myōō. Kurikara gives its user a link with Fudō-myōō, allowing the God to live inside its wielders body. The blade was originally deemed unusable as Fudō-myōō would not allow anyone to use his blade, punishing those he did not deem worthy by driving the wielder insane, or eating away their life force leaving them comatose. After many years of no one wielding it Takeo Hajime was finally able to subdue Fudō-myōō, granting him Kurikara's legendary powers.
