Abelisauroidea is a superfamily of ceratosaurian dinosaurs that lived in the Southern hemisphere (with the exception of Tarascosaurus in Southern Europe) during the Cretaceous period. Some well-known species include Abelisaurus, Carnotaurus, and Majungasaurus.
