John Chick (born November 20, 1982) is a gridiron football defensive end who is currently a free agent. He was signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Utah State. He spent 2008–2009 with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. Chick was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2009, earning him a contract with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts in January 2010. On September 5, 2010, the Colts delegated Chick to the practice squad. He was waived a year later during final cuts and was signed to the Jaguars' practice squad. One day after signing with the Jaguars, Chick was promoted to the active roster when David Garrard was released. He had his first sack against Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals on Octob
