In retaliation to the assassination of Cal Omas just hours before, the Senate (against the wishes of the Jedi Council) approved the implementation of Operation Strike back. It invloved a full scale attack on all fronts that was designed to severly impare the fighting capabilities of the Sith Fleet. Although it failed in this respect, it did succed in removing the Sith Fleet's commander-in-cheif; Admiral Strasbourg.
