Mary Custis "Daughter" Lee (1835-1918) was the eldest daughter of General Robert E. Lee and Mary Anna Custis Lee, and their second eldest child. She outlived all of her siblings, and in her twilight years was quite vocal about being the last surviving child of Robert E. Lee. Based on the records available, she was somewhat aloof and "bossy". She spent most of her adult life traveling the world. She never married.
