The Sunseed Berry is simply a strawberry. It is found on the mainland in the Awakening Wood, and can easily be obtained as it only is guarded by a Red Bulborb, and you just need to throw Pikmin onto a ledge for them to pick it up. In Pikmin, there was supposedly a strawberry in the Japanese version, and this is rumored to be based on it. This treasure is similar to the Combustion Berry but it is a different size.

In the first beta video of Pikmin, there was a strawberry that Yellow Pikmin were seen returning to their Onion, and it is rumored that the Sunseed Berry is based on said strawberry. This treasure is the smaller version of the Combustion Berry.
