Damon Tyr (—7 ABY) was born on Coruscant. His father, Daxon Tyr, was an Imperial Admiral who died at the Battle of Endor. His mother was a surgeon and was killed during the New Republic occupation of Coruscant. He was in the Sub-Adult Group growing up, then joined the Academy as soon as he was eligable. He became TIE Pilot and was transferred to Pheonix Squadron on Orbital Station Guardian, then was promoted to XO of Lightning Squadron under Lt. Labatiel Atrox. Atrox went off to the Bureau of Operations, and Tyr become CO of Ligthning Squadron stationed aboard the cruiser Broadsword.

Atrox went off to the Bureau of Operations, and Tyr become CO of Ligthning Squadron stationed aboard the cruiser Broadsword. He was later recruited by Lorn Rhys into the 'Shadow Guard', and eventually made Commander of the Shadow Guard. He then got caught up in the Vigilant Coup, which was a secret society that believed that Palpatine was still alive and recouperating before returning to reclaim the Empire. Bacharan Valak found out about this secret society and had it crushed. Damon Tyr was in a very tricky situation and was forgiven of Treason by the Emperor, but could not be placed in a position of trust. He was executed by a Royal Guardsmen named Vassily Korolov, the head of the Imperial Royal Guard, as he left the Emperor's Throne Room on Dreven.
