Jonas Hladovka Sr. (Hurbanova, 1907 - Hurbanova, 2005) was a Lovian writer and local politician. He served as mayor of Hurbanova from 1930 tot 1938 and was the tenth governor of Oceana from 1925 to 1937, serving six consecutive terms. He is regarded as one of the most significant writers of Oceana literature and is sometimes referred to as the "father of Oceana literature." His writings give an insight in the evolution of Oceana: his earlier works are categorized as Middle Oceana, whereas his latest books are written in Modern Oceana.
