Oshiro's Shrine, built to honor Oshiro, the ronin who developed the Hundred Stances style, was located in the East Wing of the Hundred Stances Dojo. It held a gray marble statue of Oshiro, a gift from a Kakita student, along with a stone tablet with prayers from the Tao of Shinsei. A particular feature made by the sculptor Kakita Noryo was the presence of a lotus flower at Oshiro's feet. Behind the statue were placed the original copy of Oshiro's scrolls, together with the annotation of Bayushi Sawao, the man who first discovered Oshiro's scrolls and codified the Stances. Sawao had a small alcove to one side dedicated to him.
