Forest Gulpers are large faunal organisms indigenous to Darwin IV which lure their prey into their mouths thanks to specialized scent glands. Once prey is captured, they will slowly digest it alive. They are an example of Darwinian incomplete metamorphosis, with their larval stage capable of flight, but with the wings becoming vestigial throughout the growth towards maturity, becoming atrophied, beating, useless appendages. Physically, they resemble gigantic green barrels complimented by a thick, serpentine tail.
