Commentator: Tyler has won his match, but has he progressed? We have news just in, Marcus drew his match, which means Tyler has progressed through. Luke: Eevee, use Dig! James: Hitmonlee, use Hi Jump Kick on the ground! Luke: No Eevee! Venusaur, use Petal Blizzard! Commentator: This is a heated battle with neither side giving up. Luke: We need to finish this now. James: Couldn’t agree more. Blaze Kick and Aerial Ace! Luke: Eevee, Helping Hand. Venusaur, Petal Blizzard! Referee: Both Swellow and Hitmonlee are unable to battle. Venusaur and Eevee win, which means Luke progresses through. Luke: Yes! Jon: To think it’s the afternoon already. Luke: Yeah. And us three are into the next stage of the competition. Jon: But can I? Ralph: Rapidash, Flare Blitz! Referee: Jolteon is unable to battle, Ralph is the winner. Ralph progresses onto the next stage. Jon: Good battle. Ralph: Thanks. Mary: Only Jon left to battle. Tyler: And he will win. Luke: Jon? What’s wrong? Nate: Jon, you need to think of who you are using today to counter some of the mythical Pokemon and Legendaries Tyson has. Tyler: Tyson has Legendaries?! Jon: Yeah. Which is why I’m wondering if I have what it takes to progress. Considering we are both facing each other and we have to win, using a Legendary or two will assure his victory. Nate: I found out he has a Mythical Pokemon with him and a Latias. Jon: A Latias?! Mary: What is a Latias? Nate: One of the Legendary Pokemon of the Hoenn Region. Tyler: No matter, Jon can win. Announcer: Jon and Tyson, your battle will be in 5 minutes in the Centre Satdium. Ralph: Good thing we are already here. Jon: He is definantly using a Mythical or Legendary Pokemon in this battle. Jon: Mum, I need to swap a Pokemon. Tyler: Who did you swap? Jon: You’ll have to find out. Michael: Jon is really on edge. Nate: He does have the possibility of facing a Legendary and or a Mythical Pokemon. Zoey: Shame they are allowed in the competition. Luke: Let’s take out seats and watch Jon’s match. Referee: The battle is a two on two battle. The winner will progress onto the next stage. Begin! Tyson: Go Phione and Primeape! Jon: So he did choose a Mythical Pokemon. Luke: A Phione?! I thought they couldn’t be found. Commentator: Tyson is using Phione and Primeape. Phione are special Pokemon as you can only get them through breeding Manaphy, but they can’t evolve into Manaphy. Mary: So a pre-evolved form which can’t evolve? Tyler: That’s confusing. Jon: I know you two will do me proud. Go! Commentator: Jon has chosen Quilava and Quagsire. But Quilava is a Fire Type which has a bad match up against Phione, who is a water type. Mary: I hope Jon knows what he is doing. Tyler: He does. Quagsire has the Water Absorb ability, making any water type moves ineffective. Nate: So that’s why Jon wanted to switch his Pokemon up. Referee: Tyson gets the first move, begin! Tyson: Poison Jab on Quagsire! Jon: Counter with Aqua Tail! Tyson: Water Pulse Phione! Jon: Quagsire! Tyson: What? Commentator: Jon is using Quagsire’s Water Absorb Ability and making any of Phione’s water type moves useless. Jon: Quilava, uses Flamethrower! Tyson: Bubble Beam! Tyson: This is going to be more of a challenge. Jon: Now, Aerial Ace on Primeape. Quagsire, Stone Edge on Phione! Tyson: Primeape, Assurance on the floor! Tyson: Now Quagsire can’t help. Water Pulse! Commentator: The tables don’t look good on Jon’s end as Tyson proves Water Types are more powerful than fire types. Tyson: Now Ice Beam! Jon: Quagsire, Sludge Bomb! Tyson: Primeape, Seed Bomb! Jon: Primeape can learn Seed Bomb?! Quagsire, Stone Edge quick! Commentator: Now both Quagsire and Quilava are on the floor. Is this it for Jon? Tyler: After everything, Jon can’t lose now. Luke: Come on Jon, think of something. Mary: Jon, you can do it. Jon: My friends are cheering for me. Referee: Both Quagsire and Quilava. Referee: Continue! Jon: Yes! I knew you two wouldn’t give up! Tyson: I thought I had you beat. Jon: Not a chance. Tyson: Seed Bomb! Jon: Quilava, destroy Seed Bomb with Flamethrower! Jon: Now Quagsire, Giga Impact! Nate: What is Jon thinking?! Zoey: Must be for a good reason. Tyson: Ice Beam Phione! Jon: Quilava, Flamethrower! Commentator: I never thought Flamethrower and Giga Impact would be used in this way. I’m not sure anyone thought this was the case. Tyson: Cross Chop, go straight in! Tyler: What power! Ralph: Everyone in the stands can feel it! Michael: Two powerful moves. Jon making Quilava use Flamethrower to give Giga Impact that extra boost worked. Referee: Primeape is unable to battle. Commentator: Wow. Primeape is down! Now Tyson is in a pickle. Jon: It’s okay Quagsire, you done your very best. Referee: Quagsire is also unable to battle. Quagsire: Sire. Jon: Don’t worry. Quilava and I won’t allow your efforts to go to waste. Quilava: Lava, Quilava! Quagsire: Quagsire! Zoey: So Quagsire did take too much damage. Nate: Quagsire could still battle. Luke: Then why did Jon call Quagsire back? Tyler: To avoid any more damage to Quagsire. If that happened, Jon wouldn’t be able to forgive himself. Mary: I see. Commentator: Jon has taken Quagsire out of the match after dealing a heavy blow against Primeape. Now it’s Quilava against Phione. Tyson: I congratulate you for getting this far, but this is as far as you are getting. Jon: I don’t think so. Quilava use— Commentator: 10 minutes are up. But since Jon and Tyson are the only ones who have to win to get through, what will happen. Referee: Both trainers will take a 5 minute break. Mary: What happens now? Jon: Not a clue. Tyson: Either they allow us to continue or they chose who goes through. Jon: That’s not fair. We should continue our battle. Nate: We have to see. Tyler: I hope they can continue battling. League President: I am the League President. I’m the one who put this competition together this year. I never expected that there would be a draw in the most important match. Jon: What’s going to happen? League President: Nurse Joy is going to heal Quilava and Phione so they are at full health, and then you two will continue your battle. Tyson: Thank you. Jon: I’m glad we get to continue our battle. Nate: We better get back to the stands. Mum, Dad, Luke and Ralph will want to know what is happening. League President: I will make an announcement now. Nurse Joy: Quilava and Phione are fully healed. Good luck. Tyson: Thanks Nurse Joy. Referee: This battle will continue as a one on one battle. The winner proceeds through to the next stage of the competition. Commentator: For anyone watching at home, Jon and Tyson are the only two trainers who can progress, yet they over ran their time limit. The League President allowed them to continue battling. Referee: Begin! Narrator: The final match between Jon and Tyson decides who progresses through the tournament. What kind of battle will ensue? Who will be victorious? Find out soon.
