This was later adopted by the Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 2, p. 371). The name was also referenced in "Far Beyond the Stars" . Tarbolde's work was mentioned in the novel Q-Space, as being among the personal collection of Jean-Luc Picard.
