King Markus Ivy was a former king of Albion. He was the fourth king to be named "Markus" and he felt this diminished his importance. So, he decreed that the letters after his name were just an oddly spelled surname. Nobody in his court took issue with this, partly out of fear of reprisal, and partly because the conversation would be extremely awkward.
