After the deaths of father Tomaas and brother Galin Azzameen and Imperial nationalization of their previous home, Azzameen Home Base, and the family company, Ace enlisted into the Rebel Alliance. Once accepted and trained, Ace and Emkay were stationed aboard the cruiser Defiance and later the cruiser Liberty, where the droid remained mostly idle until pressing family matters put him back into the action he preferred. MK-09 also assisted the Rebel Alliance by participating in the mission to steal the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle Tydirium, and even the pivotal Battle of Endor.
