He teaches permaculture and whole-systems design at the University of Vermont. Claude William Genest is founder of the Green Mountain Permaculture Institute where he teaches earth repair and ecological design. He is also creator, producer and host of "Regeneration - The Art of Sustainable Living", nominated for an Emmy Award, from their New England Chapter, in 2008. He is a former journalist, actor, and TV host from Montreal, Quebec. He is the son of Canadian actor Émile Genest.
