Larry "Stoney" James Hale (born October 9, 1941) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played four seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Philadelphia Flyers and six seasons in the World Hockey Association (WHA) with the Houston Aeros. He played for the junior Edmonton Oil Kings from 1960 to 1962. He turned pro with the Minneapolis Millers in 1962-63 and then played five seasons for the Seattle Totems until 1968. He played the 1978-79 season with the Spokane Flyers of the Pacific Hockey League and then retired.

  • Larry "Stoney" James Hale (born October 9, 1941) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played four seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Philadelphia Flyers and six seasons in the World Hockey Association (WHA) with the Houston Aeros. He played for the junior Edmonton Oil Kings from 1960 to 1962. He turned pro with the Minneapolis Millers in 1962-63 and then played five seasons for the Seattle Totems until 1968. In 1968 he was accquired by the Philadelphia Flyers. Hale played a full season with the Flyers in 1968-69 but spent the next three seasons split between the Flyers and the minor pros. Hale jumped to the Houston Aeros of the World Hockey Association in 1972 and played for them until they folded in 1978. He won the Avco World Trophy with them in 1974 and 1975. He played the 1978-79 season with the Spokane Flyers of the Pacific Hockey League and then retired. In his NHL career Hale played in 196 games and scored 5 goals and 37 assists. In the WHA he played in 413 games and scored 11 goals and 97 assists.
